I won’t write about every single episode, I’m not very good at writing. Especially in English. It’s not my native language, so please excuse if I’m making some mistakes.
I’ll pick
some episodes I want to write and talk about.
So let’s
start! I skip the first episode (of the new series) and begin with “The end of
the World”. This episode is very special to me, ‘cause it was the first episode
of Doctor Who I’ve ever seen! Before that I didn’t know anything about the
show, but I fell in love immediately.
The Doctor
and Rose travel 5 billion years into the future to watch the end of the earth,
surrounded by strange Aliens.
And we also
meet the face of Boe for the first time, without knowing he will return several
times. That’s something I really like about rewatching shows, all the little
thing I didn’t notice or didn’t understand the first time. Oh, and of course we
meet Cassandra, too. Moisturize me!
It also had
some very funny moments, like the Doctors extempore gift, the air from his
lungs. Loved that! And when Cassandra brought the “I-Pod” in and played
“Tainted Love” (great song!).
It’s the second
episode and people are already dying. Raffalo, who had nothing to do with that.
She was just doing her job. And a few others die, too. I always feel sorry for them,
but that’s something you have to deal with when you’re watching Doctor Who, people
are dying. And then Jabe dies
Another
great thing about rewatching shows is, that you can pay more attention to the
things that aren’t important for the episode, to all the information the Doctor
gives about his life.
Like when he
tells Jabe that he was on the titanic and ended up clinging to an iceberg.
And one of
the best moments of this episode was when Cassandra plays a traditional ballad
of the earth. And it’s “Toxic” by Britney Spears! I find this very funny. Just
imagine, in a few thousand years, people would listen to todays pop songs and
believe that they were great tradiotional songs and the best pieces of humans
music.
And I think
the Doctor really likes holding hands. He always does that.
So, just
imagine you’ve never even heard about Doctor Who, and then you see that!
Timetravel, Spaceships, Aliens, the earth exploding…
I can’t really remember what I thought when I watched it for the first time,
but, like I already said, I fell in love with that show. It just had something
special about it.
I think the
next episode I’ll write about will be “The Shakespeare Code”. I loved the Harry
Potter references!
That’s all!
